Ryan Spielvogel, MD – Dr. Ryan Spielvogel is Medical Director of End of Life Option Act Services for Sutter Health where he teaches and sets policy and quality standards around the practice of medical aid in dying. He has been actively engaged in the medical community around this issue, teaching nationally and internationally on the topic. He is also involved in legislative advocacy around the right to choose at the end of life in California.

Meg McClaskey, PhD – Chaplain Meg McClaskey is the Chaplain and Bereavement CounselorHeadshot of Chaplain Meg McClaskey at UC Davis Hospice. Her PhD studies were in Medical Ethics with a specialty in Jewish Medical Ethics. Meg has journeyed with many patients and families in the development of Advance Care Directives, decisions around completing Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) forms and through difficult end-of-life decision making that are compatible with their beliefs and values. She has supported patients and families through decisions using Medical Aid in Dying and provided compassionate presence during the process.
