MAH JONGG MADNESS is an annual Section fundraising event. Our local Mah Jongg mavens play for fun, community and lighthearted competition. Raffle ticket sales for gift baskets and prizes enhance the fundraising effort. Visit the events page of our website for information about the next event extravaganza! FAIR TRADE CHOCOLATE BARS are available throughout the year. When you purchase Fair Trade chocolate, you are supporting a stable income for small-scale farmers and promoting safe and sustainable farming methods and working conditions for farm workers in South and Central America. NCJW Sacramento uses the proceeds to support our programming and advocacy on behalf of women, children, and families in our community. The chocolate is organic, kosher and priced at $4.00 each or $11 for three bars. The brand is Equal Exchange, a company which has worked with small farmers for over 25 years to support fair trade practices. The Sacramento Section began selling fair trade chocolate as part of a national NCJW campaign to raise awareness about human trafficking in general and specifically child slave labor in the mainstream cocoa industry. To purchase or order NCJW’s Equal Exchange chocolate, please contact Naomi Rice.
