Mah Jongg Madness is a yearly fundraising event. Held each January, our local Mah Jongg mavens play for fun, community and personal competitiveness. In addition, the collection of gift baskets spurs the purchase of raffle tickets enhancing the fundraising effort.
Fair trade chocolate bars are available throughout the year. The chocolate is organic, kosher and priced at $3.50 each or $10 for three bars. The brand is Equal Exchange, a company which has worked with small farmers for over 25 years to support fair trade practices. The Sacramento Section began selling fair trade chocolate as part of a national NCJW campaign to raise awareness about potential abuses in the mainstream cocoa industry. To purchase or order NCJW’s Equal Exchange chocolate, please contact Naomi Rice.
