Support the Mitzvah in a Minute Thanksgiving Food Drive

Please join NCJW Sacramento and Congregation Beth Shalom in donating non-perishable foods, frozen foods, essentialflyer with orange and brown border of leaves and turkey art at the bottom of the flyer supplies and/or funds to offer the families of Women’s Empowerment (WE)/Trellis Gardens Housing Program  the core supplies for a traditional Thanksgiving meal this Holiday season. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

1.    Place your donations of non- perishable food items and/or kitchen supplies in a sturdy box or bag.

2.    Between Tuesday, November 4 and Sunday, November 9 – Bring your donations to a collection site near you.  Contact Sheila Wolfe or Robin Gillett for the specific address of the site host.

  • Look for the flyer on a designated container near their porch or driveway entrance. Click here to view the flyer (PDF).
  • Want to say hi? Check In with your host. Prefer a quick drop-off? Just leave your donation in the designated container.

3.    On Sunday, November 23, from 11:00 – 1:00 – drive through and drop off much needed frozen food items – especially needed are small frozen turkeys – 8-10 lbs., packs of frozen turkey pieces, frozen pies, butter and rolls at: Congregation Beth Shalom, 4746 El Camino Ave, Carmichael, CA, (916) 485-4478.

Non-Perishable Foods & Supplies Collection Week at Neighborhood Sites
•    Canned goods: green beans, cranberry sauce, corn, turkey gravy
•    Boxed/packaged items: instant potatoes, stuffing mixes, gravy mixes
•    Kitchen Supplies: foil, small roasting pans, Ziploc bags for leftovers, paper towels

Sunday, November 23 – 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Turkey and Frozen Food Donations –  Drive In and Drop Off at Congregation Beth Shalom,  4746 El Camino Ave, Carmichael, CA, (916) 485-4478
•    Small frozen turkeys – 8-10 lbs.
•    Frozen packs of cut up turkey pieces
•    Frozen sticks/packs of butter
•    Frozen Pies
•    Frozen Rolls
