Our NCJW Sacramento Opening Meeting was a wonderful success! A capacity crowd gathered at the KOH Library Thursday night to explore literacy, learn about NCJW, and be inspired by our amazing speaker, Ethan Minton of Etrain Talks.

A special thank-you to Ethan and his mom/(producer) Meleasa for advocating, educating, championing and connecting us to the importance of reading and learning – in so many ways.

Many thanks to our hosts at KOH Library  – a beautiful, welcoming and very fitting environment for this Opening Meeting and Mitzvah in a Minute.

It was a big team effort and we are grateful, grateful for everyone who volunteered, donated hundreds of books, contributed funds, and joined us for an inspiring fun evening – as the photos show

We are pleased to announce NCJW Sacramento will provide funds to E Train Talks for the purchase of at least one new set of classroom books—and hopefully more — with the generosity of our members.

If you missed the event, we hope to have the video recording posted soon and in the meantime, it’s not too late to contribute. Please click here to make a donation to support Ethan Minton’s work.

Thank you, Sacramento, for opening books, eyes, minds and hearts to the possibilities for a brighter, kinder and more literate future!
