Marching for the Dream

NCJW Sacramento was represented at the 43rd Martin Luther King Day March on January 20 by Board members June Wiaz, Leslie Holzman (and husband Mark), and Laurel Hollis. They joined with B’nai Israel and Beth Shalom members as well as Rabbi Mona Alfi and Cantor Alexandra Kurland from Congregation B’nai Israel, Rabbi Nancy Wechsler of Congregation Beth Shalom, Rabbi Ben Herman of Mosaic Law Congregation and Jewish Community Relations Board. The crowd was the largest seen since the pre-COVID years, with many elected officials, including Attorney General Bob Bonta, who delivered addresses admonishing the crowd to stay involved in political action on local, state and national levels.
