Contribute to the NCJW Sacramento Food Bank Fundraiser

In response to the rising threat of hunger in our community, the National Council of Jewish Women Sacramento has initiated a drive to raise desperately needed funds for the Sacramento Food Bank. Even if the federal government releases funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program there will be a delay in beneficiaries receiving them. Layoffs and furloughs have already driven demand to new heights. As Jews, we are compelled to help the hungry. and the most vulnerable. We are hoping you will contribute to this effort in support of the Sacramento Food Bank.
The threats to the Food Bank are both long-term and short-term: a significant long-term federal funding cut to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in July 2025, the rising cost of living, and an immediate crisis caused by the on-going federal shutdown which has suspended benefits for November.
The Sacramento Food Bank, already strained by rising demand and earlier federal cuts, is bracing for a major surge in the coming months. The Sacramento Food Bank distributes food to 110 partner locations in Sacramento County. 309,280 individuals received food assistance every month through this network in 2024. Please join us in helping them feed the many men, women, and children who depend on them in times like these by contributing as generously as you can! Help us meet our goal of raising $10,000. All donations go directly to the Sacramento Food Bank and are tax deductible.
Please give as generously as you can. Every dollar restores dignity, hope, and stability for a neighbor in need.
