Amid the sound of Mahjong tiles clacking, champagne corks popping and loads of laughter, more than 80 women gathered on Sunday, January 25th for our second annual Fun and Games FUNDraiser. The event was held at the lovely Thompson Design Center, who provided the space to us free of charge.

Old friends and new sipped mimosas together to start the day, followed by a delicious lunch sponsored by Mendocino Farms. There were many games to choose from: Mahjong (of course!),
Canasta, Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, Rummikub, Cards Against Humanity and more. Everyone helped themselves to a delicious assortment of snacks throughout the day, including red and black licorice. Raffle tickets were sold by the arm’s length and twenty winners took home prizes generously donated by local merchants and craftspeople.

Everyone agreed that this event was a fantastic way to blend fun, sisterhood and fundraising. Our thanks to all who attended, especially those new to NCJW.

A huge thank you to the committee, led by Davita Levin-Robinson, Ellen Savage and Eileen Jacobowitz. Dedicated team work by Marci Davis, June Wiaz, Beryl Michaels, Shirley Rosenbloom, Rachel Bluth, Sunny Romer, Leslie Holzman, Rachel Zerbo, Lexi Guiterrez, Shelley Serin, Abbie Blackman and Sheila Wolfe.
