Ballot Party: Keeping Track of Propositions and Bond Issues

Photo collage of three women outlining key messages of ballot propositions.
On September 29th, NCJW hosted a lively ballot party at Congregation B’nai Israel (CBI). This nonpartisan event allowed attendees to discuss the California 2024 ballot propositions in a fun and collaborative space.

Three NCJW members—Cheri Dimmerling, Laurel Hollis, and Barbara Milgram—led small breakout sessions where we delved deeply into the pros and cons of each proposition. There were no politics, just facts and a chance for everyone to enhance their understanding of the issues in a relaxed, friendly environment. It was a fantastic way to connect with like-minded individuals in our community, including NCJW, CBI, and League of Women Voters members, their friends and family to create a sense of belonging and empowerment through shared knowledge.
