Headshot of Rabbi Marshall smilingRabbi Deni Marshall was ordained as a Rabbi through the Alliance for Jewish Renewal in January 2023. Currently, Rabbi Deni works part-time at the Albert Einstein Residence Center as a Rabbi Chaplain. Deni is also a licensed clinical social worker who has been in private practice as a therapist for 29 years. She created and co-led a Shabbaton on Jewish wisdom for aging and teaches Jewish practices on death and dying.

 

Headshot of Michael SkaggsMichael Skaggs is a dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic serving with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District (Metro Fire), currently stationed at Station 41 in North Highlands on the A shift. With over a decade of experience in the Fire and EMS service, he has been a vital part of Metro Fire since 2018.

Michael has been a member of Metro Fire’s Mobile Integrated Health program (MIH) since its inception during the COVID-19 pandemic. Working alongside Battalion Chief Scott Perryman, this program has evolved from pandemic-related activities to comprehensive healthcare service for the streets of Sacramento County. Michael received the prestigious EMS Member of the Year award in 2021 from Metro Fire.
