Meg McClaskey, PhD
- Chaplain Meg McClaskey is the Hospice and Palliative Care Chaplain for UC Davis.
- Meg first encountered Dementia patients in 1988 when assigned to one of the early dedicated Memory Care facilities and a traditional Nursing home. The contrast in the way dementia patients were treated was significant and Meg has spent the last nearly 4 decades attempting to raise awareness of the need for caring connections for dementia patients. She shares stories about finding the thread into a dementia patient’s mind and watching them respond.
