Join us for Rosh Chodesh Shevat, celebrating the New Year of the Trees and Reflection/Renewal!

Co-facilitators: Jessica Heskin and Davita Levin-Robinson

Please bring:

  • A vegetarian/dairy dish or dessert to share. Tu b’shevat theme foods (barley, wheat, figs, pomegranates, grapes, olives and dates) would be wonderful.
  • Gently used or new bath sized towels for HOPE Cooperative’s respite centers, where homeless clients can take showers.

Showers for our Unhoused Neighbors

Hope Cooperative is a nonprofit serving Sacramento and Yolo County that provides vital support, such as permanent housing, mental health services, and substance-use rehabilitation. Some of you may remember Erin Johannsen, their former CEO, who spoke at our Speaker Series last year.

One of their initiatives offers unhoused individuals access to showers and hygiene facilities—a service that restores dignity and care to those in need.

Right now, they’re running low on towels—this is where we can help! We are collecting donations of new or used but clean towels to support this effort. All sizes are needed. It would be great if you could check to see if you have any you’re willing to part with. The collection will run through February 21st.

Please bring your towels to Rosh Chodesh. Together, we can make a big difference for Hope Cooperative and the people they serve.

Thank you for lending a hand (and a towel)!
