Thank you Dr. Robert Nelsen, President of CSUS, and Blake Young, CEO/President of the Sacramento Food Bank, for raising our awareness about the number of people who need help feeding their families.
Find out what you can do. Act your conscience.
Over 215,000 Sacramento residents and over 104,000 children don’t get enough food to eat. They are unable to access affordable, nutritious food.
Mothers and fathers are choosing between feeding their families and providing a home for their children.
College students are also vulnerable. 1 out of 4 college students need support for food and basic necessities.
Pre-COVID, Sac State’s Food Pantry estimated that 11,000 students and their families would need assistance in 2021.
