Support the Mitzvah in a Minute Thanksgiving Food Drive
Help fulfill the mitzvah of rejoicing on a festival while helping others to rejoice as well. Let’s make our Thanksgiving Food collection Mitzvah in a Minute (MIM) a real success so we can all rejoice while also supporting the residents of the Women’s Empowerment (WE)/Trellis Gardens Housing Program.
Here’s a core list of what, where and when we’ll be collecting – stay tuned for updates and more delicious details each week.
Tuesday, November 4 to Sunday, November 9
- Non-Perishable Foods & Supplies Collection Week at Neighborhood Sites*
- Canned goods: green beans, cranberries, corn, turkey gravy
- Boxed/packaged items: instant potatoes, stuffing mixes, gravy mixes
- Kitchen Supplies: foil, small roasting pans, Ziploc bags for left overs, paper towels
Sunday, November 23 – 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Turkey and Frozen Food Donations – Drive In and Drop Off at Congregation Beth Shalom
- Small frozen turkeys – 8-10 lbs
- Frozen pack of cut up turkey pieces
- Frozen sticks/packs of butter
- Pies – frozen
- Dinner rolls – frozen
