Heartfelt Thanks for Filling Plates and Hearts This Thanksgiving!

Photo collage of participants and members during NCJW Sacramento's Thanksgiving food drive at Women's Empowerment.

It was definitely a Mitzvah in a Meal for Many – MMM. We are still impressed and filled with gratitude for the incredible generosity shown during this year’s Thanksgiving food drive. Thanks to the bags and boxes full of all our favorite holiday foods, 24 frozen turkeys to share and donated gift cards and cash, the families at The Trellis Gardens Housing Program were able to celebrate the holidays with a hearty meal, a sense of community and a few leftovers too.

Your kindness also extended to The Sierra – Arden Neighborhood Food Closet where staff appreciatively carted our donations off to the families waiting in their courtyard.

In partnership with Congregation Beth Shalom we made a tangible difference!  We are deeply thankful for the support in making this season brighter, fuller and healthier for all. Together, we turned compassion into action—thank you!

Special thanks to NCJW and CBS Members, Robin Gillett and Susan Solarz, for co-coordinating the food drive.  We hope our pictures honor a few of our other volunteers and donors and help tell the story of giving with a real purpose and joy – it was delicious and meaningful Mitzvah !
