Why support NCJW Sacramento in your 2025 End-of-Year Giving?

Because we make change happen by making a difference in the lives of women, children and families.

This past year we have definitely achieved our new tagline—Making Good Trouble Together! And we made some great “trouble.” Our sisterhood, creativity, and resourcefulness provided some wonderful events which benefitted our community—locally and throughout California.

We launched our Fun and Games FUNdraiser last year, having a blast playing various games (not just Mah Jongg!) while enjoying each other’s company. We are doing it again this year so stay tuned! We advocated for our state and beyond through Lobby Day, Repro Shabbat and postcard writing campaigns. We raised money for Women’s Empowerment and Trellis Gardens through various fundraisers and administration of Bridge to Success grants. We graduated our largest cohort yet of women leaders in our Leadership Program!

One particular source of pride is our ability to mobilize this year around community hunger after the federal food program was paused. With only two weeks’ notice, we mobilized on multiple levels through many campaigns to raise money and provide food to various organizations in the Sacramento area:

$15,000 raised for Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services Fund Drive (our original goal was only $2,500!)
Family Thanksgiving Mitzvah Food Drive for 25 families at Women’s Empowerment-Trellis Gardens
Volunteers served over 200 meals at Loaves and Fishes Breakfast Program
$500 in food donation for Mustard Seed School Family Thanksgiving Food Drive
$300 for family dinners for the Foster Hope Society

I am always amazed by the incredible amount of work we do and the tremendous amount of fun we have doing it. I am so proud and honored to be stepping into the new year to continue making good trouble with such an outstanding group of women.
