We Shared Our Stories and More!

At our “l’dor v’dor – from generation to generation- themed Board Installation on Sunday, June 12th we celebrated both the past and the future of NCJW Sacramento.  We shared video clips from interviews with long-time members, Betty Reuben, Lydia Inghram, and Beryl Michaels who shared inspiring stories from our Section’s past.  We were delighted to thank them in person for their stories and for laying the foundation for our dynamic Section.

We recognized outgoing Board Members Leslie Levitas and Karen Soskin, Treasurer, for their service and many contributions. We’re thrilled that Leslie will continue to serve as NCJW representative on the Jewish Community Relations Council.

We also thanked Naomi Rice for her many years of service as Fair Trade Chocolate Salesperson and Sheila Budman for serving as Tributes Chair.

In between celebrating, sharing l’dor v’dor songs and stories, we also connected with old friends, met new members, and we worked together to learn some fun facts about our board members. Finally, we were touched with an inspiring installation of our new Board, conducted by Claire Lipshultz, section Board member and National NCJW VP.

Installation was followed by dinner catered by Limelight Bar and Cafe and a lively Trivia Night fundraiser, emceed with skill and humor by NCJW members Ellen Savage and June Wiaz.
