There are many ways in which you can help strengthen NCJW Sacramento’s role in pursuit of social justice today. Your financial support enables us to continue to improve the quality of life for women, children and families and to continue safeguarding individual rights and freedoms.
TRIBUTE Making a Tribute is a great way to honor a loved one and share your sentiments with friends and family while supporting NCJW projects locally and in Israel. If you would like to make a donation in the name of a family member, colleague, friend, or loved one, or to commemorate a special occasion or holiday, contact Holly Ilfeld or use our online form. Each Tribute is $10. A Tribute card will be sent out in your name to your Honoree. You may also purchase blank Tribute cards to personally send yourself — $45 for a package of five cards.
DIRECT DONATION Donations in any amount are welcome. Donations that provide the most overall benefit to NCJW Sacramento go into the General Fund. You may also designate your donation to benefit the Betty Reuben Family Shalom Fund. Projects and programs addressing Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, Elder Abuse, Teen Dating and any other related issues are included here as well as in the General Fund. Our Bridge to Success Fund assists graduates of Women's Empowerment. The Barbara G Leadership Development Fund is named after one of the section's founding members, Barbara Goldberg. This fund provides support for our current and future leaders to attend regional and national conferences. It is also used to bring leadership education to the members of our section with speakers, forums, workshops and board trainings.
LIFE AND LEGACY Planned Giving and Estate Planning To ensure that the work of NCJW Sacramento will continue well into the next century, we invite you to become part of our future. By giving through a will, retirement plan, or charitable gift annuity you can add your legacy to ours. Making this even more easy, The Jewish Community Foundation of the West (JCFW) has started a new program called Life and Legacy. Available to the entire community, it promotes after-lifetime giving to benefit local Jewish organizations. You can leave NCJW a legacy gift by filling out a formal Letter of Intent through the JCFW.
CORPORATE MATCHING To promote charitable giving, many companies match their employees’ contributions to nonprofit organizations. If your company offers this benefit, your contribution doubles your support. Please be sure to inquire with your employer (typically through the Human Resources department) to see if they offer this benefit.
ENDOWMENTS A financial endowment is a transfer of money, stock, or property donated to NCJW Sacramento to be invested, while the principal remains intact in perpetuity. This enables your contribution to have a much greater impact over a long period of time.
