Help Reform Unjust Sacramento Fees and Fines

Fees and fines imposed by governmental entities can be punitive and result in significant financial hardship, especially for low-income people and people of color. The City and County will be holding a series of public meetings, called Community Conversations, on the third Saturday of the month from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. to hear personal stories from the community about the hardships imposed by unfair or unjust fees and fines, and to receive recommendations from the public about which fees and fines should be reformed. The next meeting will be on February 20th. Register to participate at cityofsacramento.org/fines-fees.

The City and County is committed to reforming at least three fees or fines.
